In the language of the Anvarai ( teren Anvarai) the suffix -ai is used to identity people of a certain place, be they city or clan (for example: Anvarai, for people of Anvara, Kavrilai for people of Kavril, and Orzarai for people of Orza,)
The suffix -iai is used to signify the plural version of a noun, be it a class of people or a family (For example: Arvelkiai, for the singular Arvelka, or mereniai, for the singular meren.)
Among the people of the east, the suffix -iu is used to designate peoples with distinct identities, be they tribes, cities or kingdoms (for example: Orzariu, for people of Orza.) This is an ancient phenomenon, found amongst all people and all languages, save the always quarrelsome Anvariu/Anvarai.
